The Inn is situated in the pretty village of Frogmore, which lies between Dartmouth and Kingsbridge, in glorious unspoilt South Hams countryside.
The pub has undergone a tasteful renovation during winter 2006/2007 and now boasts 8 well appointed ensuite bedrooms. We have a fresh look to the restaurant and bars and have created an exciting new menu to complement the changes.
The South Hams is a haven for sailors, golfers, divers, ramblers, birdwatchers, etc - almost all activities are well catered for. The Globe is an ideal base for all holiday activities. We are surrounded by magnificent coastal scenery and un-crowded beaches, historic towns and villages are all close by.
Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Regrettably, we cannot accept pets. Check-In time: 12:00 and Check-Out time: 10:30.
The CRABSHELL INN is gloriously situated on the quayside and with its south westerly aspect basks in the sun all day. The Crabshell is gaining a reputation as an eatery of distinction with an increasingly acclaimed menu. The Inn is “child friendly” and children of all ages are very welcome. There is an abundance of high chairs and a popular childrens’ menu.

A marvellous little place slightly off the main drag (in Church Street opposite the Regal). Billed as serving European cuisine, it's run by an Hungarian family - hurrah! Mum cooks and daughter makes guests very welcome. Splendid Magyar home cooking with rich sauces and imaginative combinations. There's a lot of predictable food in Kingsbridge, so Madeleine's really adds something new and delicious. Have a glass of dry Tokay as an aperitif, sit back and relish a couple of hours of Mittel-Europa pleasures

The Fortescue has two bars, each with their own separate entrance. The right hand bar is locally known as the Ships Bar has wooden flooring and tends to attract a younger clientele with lively music and a pool table. The Lounge Bar to the left is a much mors cosier affair with carpeted floor, beams on the ceiling, white plasterwork on the walls and some wood panelling lower down.
There is a patio area next to the pub on the right that has a serving hatch which can come in extremely handy.

The secret of Café Asia's long-running success can be attributed to two factors; the rich experience of its staff and management, and the high quality of its ingredients. Browsing through the menu is like taking a journey across Asia itself: from the fresh, exciting flavours of Thailand and Vietnam to the rich, complex spices of Malaysia, and from innovative Japanese dishes to the timeless classics of traditional Cantonese cookery.
