Launderette
We operate Scilly's only commercial laundry, servicing both commercial and domestic customers from our new purpose-built facility at Porthcressa Beach.
Our welcoming and friendly staff are available six days a week, from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm.
We operate a service-wash only, with loads up to 10kg dry weight, and always do our best to turn around your laundry the same day. Our standard tariff includes wash, tumble dry and fold. Laundry can be collected and delivered for a small charge if required.

The Phoenix Craft Workshops are a co-operative of five studios working under one roof, situated on the Porthmellon Business Park about 10-15 minutes walk from the quay, or 2 minutes if you come ashore at Porthmellon Beach. You can watch the artists making stained and fused glass, sterling silver or beach-glass jewellery, ceramics, printmaking, silk and fabric painting and more. Some of the artists will also give tuition, so you could learn a new skill on your visit, or just buy something beautiful and handmade to take home as a souvenir.

Having spent 16 years brewing, last year Mark decided that it was time to hand over the pumps to someone who could take Ales of Scilly to the next generation of ale fans and after a bit of a search found an enthusiastic Jen Trevithick from Cornwall who took on the business in 2017. Mark continues to assist with brewing when needed and is looking forward to watching it grow. Jen has lots of plans for the brewery and is looking at expanding the range in the near future so watch this space!

Fay lives on the island of St Martin's, Isles of Scilly. Much of Fay's work focuses on her surroundings with shells and pebbles from local beaches being cast to produce charms or clusters to sit alongside handmade neck chains and charm bracelets.
Fay also makes chains which are inspired by fabric textures such as linen and lace and has recently developed this textile theme by introducing solid silver buttons to her collections.
Bike Sales/Hire, Electric Bikes, Mobility Scooters
We have recently been successful in securing some funding from the IOS Voucher Scheme which has enabled us to broaden our fleet to include electric bikes for our less able visitors and a tandem for a day you will never forget. We will be offering guided bike tours in the coming months so watch this space.
We can deliver bikes to anywhere on St Mary’s for a small charge so that you can start enjoying your holiday as soon as you arrive.
