Boat Moorings, Marinas, Visitor Moorings
VHF: Channel 14
We have 34 deep water swinging moorings for visiting vessels which are coloured depending on their maximum vessel size.
There are 28 yellow mooring buoys which can accommodate vessels up to a maximum of 40 feet (12m). There are 6 green mooring buoys which will accommodate vessels up to a maximum of 60 feet (18m). All mooring buoys for visiting vessels will have a top-chain fitted with a pick-up buoy attached to assist you. When coming ashore on your tender, head towards the pontoon alongside the main quay.
There are 5 red mooring buoys adjacent to the main quay which can accommodate vessels up to a maximum of 30 feet (9m) – these are not suitable for vessels with a fin keel. Each buoy will have an inflatable tender to use to get to the pontoon and then back to your vessel. On spring tides, vessels left on the red buoys may dry out.
Vessels visiting from outside the UK should ensure they have read the relevant information from the UK Government website (here) before setting off from their home port.
Please contact the Harbour Team on VHF Ch 14 if you require assistance on the moorings or call 01720 422768 to enquire about mooring availability.
Please note, there is strictly no anchoring within St. Mary’s Harbour
