I set up the brewery in 2001 after 26 years of teaching had driven me to drink! I make traditional English real ales using where possible local (to the S.W.) ingredients. No chemicals are added and the beer is considered to be a local health drink. The more you have, the better you feel.
During the summer months I produce “Natural Beauty” (a light quaffing ale, very popular on the off islands and at lunch time on St. Mary's) and “Scuppered” a darker malty dangerously drinkable beer with a strong local following.
In the winter I also produce “Whipped and Laid” a dark, stout and “Three Sheets” another dangerously drinkable beer. I also produced a lager type beer called “A.S.B.O.” which was very popular. (It was suggested that a hoodie be offered with every 5 pints bought!)
The beers are available in all good pubs on the island and can sometimes be found at beer festivals all over the country.
