The Diacono family is somewhat synonymous with food. Grandfather Charles Wirth, a banker by profession, had a passion for good food, not to mention for having a good time too. He involved himself in the opening of catering establishments in Valletta and Buskett. Needless to say that this love for good food, inherently rubbed onto his daughters Rita and Therese who in turn did not miss the opportunity to do the same with their children. Rita, with the occasional help of her eleven children prepared an average of 14,235 meals a year just to feed her family in what was a very large kitchen by today’s standard.

Rampila is a unique restaurant situated in the historic bastions of Valletta, Malta’s capital city. Rampila comprises a Restaurant, a Wine Bar, a Terrace and an Exhibition. The location has a fascinating history. Designed and built by the Knights of St. John in the sixteenth century as part of the defensive bastions guarding the newly constructed city of Valletta, Rampila is now a haven for good food and wine set against a spectacular Baroque backdrop.
Recently Valletta has undergone a remarkable transformation with refurbishment projects restoring the classic structure of the city. Rampila overlooks the City Gate and Bridge recently remodeled by renowned Architect Renzo Piano. With Valletta being selected as European City Of Culture for 2018 there is plenty of great reasons to visit the City and while you are here a visit to Rampila is a must.

The feelings that the Grand Harbour brings have been inspiring for The Harbour Club, and have driven us to develop a restaurant that rewards our diners with a holistic experience that influences all our senses. Our team works hard to provide our diners with a combination of high quality food and wine and an exceptional level of service.
Our ability to provide this experience in a carefully converted warehouse that was built by the 64th Grand Master of the Order of Malta in 1712, gives our diners a unique dining experience. Indoors, one may enjoy a cosy interior, decorated elegantly with a recycled deck of an American ship. On the terrace, the stunning view of the Grand Harbour as you enjoy a glass of wine and one of our exquisite dishes, will remain memorable.

Our kitchen is open all day, every day from 11.30am until 10.00pm. (Fridays and Saturdays to 11.00pm) D’Office is perfect for lunch in the city, convenient to offices, shops or when visiting the wonderful sights that Valletta has to offer. Come in for a cosy dinner or just to call by at any time to relax. You can have a full meal or platter at any time of the day accompanied by a glass or two of wine from our carefully selected wine selection from Maltese and foreign vineyards.
All dishes are prepared fresh and we are especially recognised for our Mediterranean fish dishes which change daily depending on market availability. Super pasta dishes, a selection of great grills and other fresh dishes will convince you that we are indeed Valletta’s best Bistro.

The Preca sisters (Ramona and Roberta) both worked at their family restaurant Tal-Familja in Marsascala. They were both in their mid-twenties and at such a young age one would easily be tempted to think that it was there that they cut their gastronomic teeth. In truth, it transpires that they were already veterans by this time after having spent much of their childhood fiddling in their father’s kitchen at the mythical King’s Own Band Club in Valletta.
It was there that the girls learnt their ropes under the keen, imposing watchful eye of their father Charles, helping out in the chopping of parsley, capers, olives and any other ingredients which would adorn the club’s mouthwatering appetizers.

This English enthused family-run pub on High Street, Sliema, is open from 10am till late, offering a range of dishes and snacks served between 12pm and 10pm all year round (except Mondays and the one week annual leave during the summer before football season starts). Appetizers are also served while you enjoy your preferred beverage.
The service is very warm and friendly, making you feel right at home. Also the owner has ample experience, having worked in the catering business for 33+ years.
We offer Sunday Lunch Roast, very competitive prices on food and drinks, take away services available, all major sports on Big Screen & LCD s all year round, food served till 10pm and we also have our very own 3D TV with glasses.
