The Preca sisters (Ramona and Roberta) both worked at their family restaurant Tal-Familja in Marsascala. They were both in their mid-twenties and at such a young age one would easily be tempted to think that it was there that they cut their gastronomic teeth. In truth, it transpires that they were already veterans by this time after having spent much of their childhood fiddling in their father’s kitchen at the mythical King’s Own Band Club in Valletta.
It was there that the girls learnt their ropes under the keen, imposing watchful eye of their father Charles, helping out in the chopping of parsley, capers, olives and any other ingredients which would adorn the club’s mouthwatering appetizers.

When we read the reviews on this restaurant we were careful to not get carried away and then be disappointed. There was no need to worry, this restaurant is of the highest quality. Everything about our experience here was 100% positive. Food service atmosphere etc. all perfect. Very well run and we are already looking forward to eating here again on our next visit to Malta

Is this the best restaurant on Malta? Well if its not i would really like to know what is. We ate here three times on our last visit and every meal was special. A perfect experience and we will always return here on our next sail.

Great to see the restaurant on the guide, it's one of the best restaurants on the island, will definately be visiting again next year.
