Named after one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance. The restaurant is located at the west end of Ryde seafront, close to shops and amenities, and within walking distance from the pier, ferry & hovercraft terminals, rail and bus station, taxi rank and Ryde harbour.

Authentic Italian food as prepared by genuine Italian chefs can be enjoyed at Michelangelo Northern Italian restaurant, with specialties such as pasta, veal, chicken, fish, seafood, as well as vegetarian dishes and homemade desserts. The restaurateurs come from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, well known for its culinary art. The restaurant is favoured with glorious sea views over the Solent channel, has an attractive rustic decor and is intimately candlelit at night, seating 40 people inside, with 12 extra seats outside in the summer, ideal for eating al fresco.

The Lakeside Park Hotel Bar and Brasserie have been designed to reflect the natural tones and relaxing mood of the beautiful Isle of Wight. Overlooking the lake, The Brasserie benefits from an open environment with contemporary decor providing a unique space in which to enjoy a relaxed dining experience for around 100 guests. Mediterranean cuisine is the food from the cultures adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. Although this region spans a wide variety of cultures, the historical connections of the region, as well as the impact of the Mediterranean Sea on the region's climate and economy, have led to there being many common elements in the foods.
The Mediterranean can be crudely divided into three culinary regions: North African (especially Morocco), eastern Mediterranean (Egypt, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey), and southern European (Italy, France, Spain). Wine and herbs are central to Southern European cuisine, while spices intricately and boldly flavor North African foods.

Overlooking Ryde Esplanade and Harbour with views across the Solent, this majestic building is claimed to have been commissioned by Henry VIII to defend the Spithead, Southampton Water and the Solent from the invasion by the Spanish Armada during his daughter's reign.
During World War I the building was used as a wartime hospital and during World War II it was an Army HQ.
Rumours say there is a friendly spirit, although playful moving of objects and some sightings is all we can offer with any certainty.

This family run business was the first Indian Cuisine Restaurant to be established on the Isle of Wight.
The Ali family moved to the Island in 1962 and created their first restaurant originally known as ‘The Taj Mahal’, just around the corner from here in Cross Street.
The restaurant remained in the same location until 1992 when an opportunity to move closer into the main town arose. The move was decided and the family moved the restaurant to Union Street, where it happily remains today. With the change of premises came a change of name and the ‘Ryde Tandoori’ was born.

Our Head Chef and Proprietor Charlie Bartlett began his career training at The Poussin Restaurant, Brockenhurst, where he ignited his passion for elegant dining. After finishing his training, he moved to the Seaview Hotel developing a natural flair and quickly defining his distinctive style, resulting in spending the next 10 years as Head Chef and achieving two AA Rosettes.

Established in 1998 we are a family business aided by our small team of helpful staff. The restaurant is in an idyllic setting overlooking St Helens Green, 10 minutes walk from Bembridge Harbour and St Helens Duver.
