The Duke of York has been run by the Cass family since 1969. This doesn't mean it hasn't changed during this time, on the contrary, the business is constantly being updated by the family team, well aware of the needs of both business personnel and families alike and offers a friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The en-suite rooms offer comfortable, well maintained accommodation with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, all at a realistic price.
The Duke has a well stocked bar with a good selection of draught beers, lagers and real ales, served by friendly accommodating staff.

The Lifeboat stands proudly over East Cowes Marina, which is a huge favourite of visiting yachtsmen in the summer, but also a family-friendly home-from-home for locals too. In the summer, our large outside decking area offers one of the best riverside dining experiences on the Island.
For many visitors to the Isle of Wight, East Cowes will be their first port of call, since the Red Funnel car ferry docks here, delivering its passengers from Southampton straight into the town centre. East Cowes is the home of Osborne House and was once a maritime industrial town and former home of British Hovercraft. One of the most arresting landmarks many people will see, as they approach from the ferry, is the vast Union Jack painted onto the shore side doors of the old hovercraft factory. Now, East Cowes is a small but busy town with a cluster of popular shops and a stunning marina development.

The owners, Brian and Caroline Hicks, took on the Harbour Kitchen in July 2017. Together, with the support of the HK team, their aim is to: source local produce wherever possible; serve delicious cakes; create great tasting yet inexpensive meals and flair fantastic drinks, hence the tag line 'Café ●Bar ● Bistro'.

In the summer time, you can relax in the large courtyard Beer Garden which is a real suntrap and during the winter months cosy up amongst the warmth of our wood burning stove. The Union Inn is the first pub you come to on your way into town from Cowes seafront, it is just a short walk from the Red Funnel Hi-Speed passenger terminal in West Cowes. Ideally located in Cowes Old Town it is close to all the Yacht Clubs and in easy walking distance of the Marina.

The Folly Inn is an open plan, rustic pub perched on the banks of the River Medina, just up river from Cowes in Whippingham. We attract a large number of both yachtsman and motor boat people along with tourists and visitors to nearby Osborne House.
By road we are on the A3021 East Cowes to Newport or Ryde road, turning into Folly Lane carrying on until you reach the river. By water we are approximately 15 minutes up river from Cowes or East Cowes. Water taxis are available.

Deliveries are available within walking distance of the shops, last orders at 11 am with delivery by mid-day. We also deliver sandwich platters, buffets and larger bespoke orders island
