We now have a small fleet of sit-top Kayaks, so once you're done playing on terrafirma why not take to the seas to explore our magnificent coastline, who knows what you might find.

We are one of the leading producers of traditionally slow cured smoked salmon in the world, based in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland.
As an artisan producer, we craft small amounts of our double Scottish smoked salmon for our discerning customers who appreciate its multi layered complexity and lingering subtleties. This splendid smoked fish, which was once seen as a luxury item, can be used in many recipes, from soup to sushi, as well as enjoyed on its own, or accompanied by a number of sides.
We are the heirs to 150 years of smoking tradition, located in Stornoway, on the Scottish Hebridean Isle of Lewis, the old centre of the herring industry. We are the last who smoke our own salmon in a seasoned brick kiln over smouldering embers, whilst using our own unique recipe. This allows the salmon to cure slowly over four to five days, as was the Stornoway way, rather than the more usual one day which prevails now.
The methods we use can greatly curtail our production, but it enhances the quality of our products.

Alex Dan's Cycle Centre has been run from its current location for the past 25 years. The Cycle Centre is now undergoing changes with its past owner retiring and the new owner Marc Hardy taking over the reigns.The Cycle Centre will be providing the same services that it used to do, with a slight change of direction which will take place over the coming years. Alex Dan's Cycle Centre will still be supplying bikes from Raleigh, Trek and Dawes as well as supplying all related cycling accessories and clothing. The cycle centre will also continue to provide a service and repair facility as well as provide hire bikes. We will aim to provide our customers with the best quality service and great products.

The Good Food Boutique was established in 2010 by local foodie Emma Campbell-Macleod. The business is primarily a Delicatessen, specialising in hand made artisan products but also covers a much wider market of high quality food items for the real foodies as well as a selection of whole foods.
In addition, The Good Food Boutique offers a selection of catering options such as canapes for weddings, exhibitions, parties or work functions as well as a simpler working lunch of sandwiches and/or salads. We also can make you an original cheese board or "cake of cheese" decorated to your theme for that special occasion to serve instead of or even alongside the more traditional fruit cake, providing any biscuits and accompaniments as required.

Stag’s baking heritage on the beautifully unspoilt Outer Hebridean island of Lewis stretches back to 1885 and although our bakery is now modern, many things have not changed since those early days.
Skilled people, attention to detail, traditional recipes and time honoured methods are still at the heart of this artisan bakery and it shows in our products. Only the finest ingredients and lots of care go into our biscuits and cakes and nothing is rushed. Both our people and our doughs are given all the time they need to develop naturally, growing in flavour and character through the process.
