The Visitors Guide to Jersey

We are now in the process of updating our Jersey Channel Islands Harbour guide. More and more yachtsmen & Yachtswomen are using our guides for important information, including berth and mooring enquiry forms that go direct to the marinas. Weather and tidal information, passage charts, restaurant and hotel guide, marine services section etc. But even better news is that more and more general visitors are using the guides for all kinds of information. Our Shops and services,, food and drink, visitor attractions, and accommodation sections are now very popular with general visitors, who are looking for an alternative way to plan their trip.

We publish all relevant posts James.
But in our experiences of being on Jersey we haven't encountered these problems. We always give an honest appraisal on all our guides, but also promote them to Harbourguides visitors.
Whilst we will always encourage people to visit this beautiful island, we also point out any problems a visitor may encounter.
But as for the crew at Harbourguides? We love this island.

Visit jersey ,but you could be swimming in neat sewage & tampex along the South coast ,not to mention the Toxic waste coming from the harbour deveopment ?
Will you be putting that in our guide ????

Hope that the information about parking and transport services at or near the Elizabeth Terminal will be made much clearer and accessible and that the whole matter is subject to review as it is not very user friendly. Even On-line information from Condor is obscure and requires an absurd level of computer knowledge to extract basic information about times and costs - if commercial operators cannot be bothered to present their information adequately what hope is there for "public providers"? Has anybody looked at the information from a "disability" point of view? Has anybody considered providing information at the various terminals (Jersey, Guernsey, Poole etc) to clarify what facilities await travellers on arrival at their destination because the information is so often inadequate and travellers need to be prepared in advance. All in all I would say that it is time that the authorities in all the ports moved out of the 19th century and into the 21st....
