For over 180 years the Devonshire Arms Hotel has been serving the needs of visitors. A turn of the century ad in a London newspaper said it all "visitors, tourists, commercial gentlemen and families will find this establishment for situation and comfort, combined with moderate charges, unsurpassed in the South of Ireland". It's still true today. Built in 1826 by the Duke of Devonshire in the elegantly simple style of the late Georgian era, "the Dev" as it is affectionately known locally, has adapted well to the demands of the 21st century traveller.

The hotel has two bars which have an entrance from the Main Street. One has retained its old world appearance with stained glass, traditional fireplace and warm wood furnishings. The second, smaller bar has wood panelled walls, an intimate atmosphere and is ideal as a cocktail bar.

The Devonshire Arms Hotel has 10 superb guest bedrooms which are stylishly and individually decorated and named after the flowers which flourish in the lush gardens. All have en-suite bathrooms and television.
