Welcome to The Mariner Bistro and Café Bar website! We are an independent eaterie in the heart of the thriving market town of Pwllheli on the Lleyn Peninsula. You can find us just around the corner from where the Wednesday market is held, and just around another corner from the Railway station.
The Mariner has been a café bar for almost 60 years and is well-known, popular and supported by locals and holidaymakers alike.
In 2014 the lease was taken over by Mandy Shaw who runs the catering side of the enterprise whilst her husband, Paul acts as “front of house” and runs the bar.
Pop in for a coffee, a lunchtime snack or an evening meal.
We serve a varied menu for daytime and evening.

The food we prepare is Bangladeshi style, but most requests can be catered for.
The restaurant is fully air conditioned and is perfect for corporate events as it can seat up to 70 people.

In both our newly refurbished bar & restaurant you can enjoy a selection of locally sourced freshly prepared produce. Bar food served all day, Sunday Carvery, selection of menus available on website. We also have 46 en-suite tastefully decorated bedrooms.
