WPT 50°43×53N 01°43×58W, 270° to NE end of Mudeford Quay 0×5M . The bar/chan is liable to shift. The ent is difficult on the ebb which reaches 4-5kn in ‘The Run’. Recommended ent/dep at HW/stand. Chan inside hbr is narrow and mostly shallow (approx 0×3mtr) soft mud; mean ranges are 1×2m sp and 0×7m nps. Beware groynes S of Hengistbury Hd, Beerpan and Yarronton Rks.
