The story of Old India started in Dec 1999 with a vision to start up the first restaurant in the country to offer the real cuisine of the mogul kings and princes with contemporary style. After many months of waiting for planning to come through from the powers of English Heritage and following a elaborate refurbishment programme the restaurant is now ready for business.
THE OLD INDIA is delighted to offer to you the cuisine of Mughal kings and princes of days gone by. With specialist ingredients from rare spices through to exotic fresh vegetables, poultry, meat and seafood, our menu combines the traditional Indian flavours and earthy delights with princely style.
Our Executive chef Majrul Haque joins us having mastered the art of culinary delights for over 25 years. He heads a team of professionals dedicated to producing the highest standard of great dishes from our menu.
