Menai Boats
Menai Marine build a range of Ribs, sports and fishing boats with hulls designed for sea keeping comfort and security.
Our rib range are second to none and built to last, GRP structural chassis, moulded hulls and decks mean that with a Menai Rib you know your hull interior is not degrading from the first time you put it in the water.

Menai also build the Sea Ranger Rigid tubed boat. Extremely stylish and purpose full. It is a positive buoyancy boat that is equal to any rib, but the solid tubes do not puncture, and contain storage hatches. The benefits to this boat are numerous and we have yet to find a down side.
Menai Marine are also builders of modern fishing and sports boats. Continuously developing but all in keeping with the same philosophy, 4x4’s for the sea. With comfort and style.
As a company we are approachable and keen to discuss aspects of boat design with our customers to provide the boat they want. We are British and have a reputation for looking after our customers.

Cuan Mor is the Gaelic translation for Big Ocean, which as you will find from our delightful views across Oban Bay, is where we are located.

We welcome all of our guests at Cuan Mor with open arms and a warm friendly smile. Our restaurants and bars are creatively designed using only natural and reclaimed Scottish materials, such as Ballachulish slate and greenheart timber beams from the lighthouse pier. The indigenous woods of Scotland have been used in our table tops and floors, and two of Scotlands's finest blacksmiths have used traditional methods to create individual pieces which contribute to creating a unique and charismatic highland venue.

We like to keep it local at Cuan Mor, so we have selected many of the finest local beers, real ales and whiskies, to compliment our menu's extensive selection of locally sourced produce. View a 360° tour

The Queens Hotel
Luxury, Elegance, Comfort
The Queens Hotel, Oban is a magnificent building, filled with history.

It is believed to have been originally built for the 1st Episcopalian Bishop of Argyll and the Islands as his home. Later it was a church retreat and then a temperance hotel called The Glen Campa Hotel before it evolved into the majestic hotel of today.

We saw the potential when we stayed there in the mid 1990s whilst on our honeymoon. As new owners, to say we have achieved our dream would be an understatement, with unsurpassed views over Oban bay, elegant furnishings and sumptuous meals we welcome you.

The Wee Wine Shop
Our story begins in Edinburgh’s Michelin-starred restaurants. Jean-Pierre, our founder, worked as Assistant Sommelier at Castle Terrace, where he trained under Joel Bastian, Scotland’s Sommelier of the Year. His dedication and skill earned him the offer to become Head Sommelier at Castle Terrace Restaurant in Edinburgh —a role shaped by years of working with some of the world’s finest wines. Then, like for many, everything changed. Covid arrived, restaurants closed, and life moved in a new direction. That’s when we decided to open a wine shop with a simple idea: to make exceptional wines—usually found on Michelin-starred wine lists—accessible to everyone.
