ZIGGY WILL NOT RISE AGAIN CLAIMS ROCKSTAR BOWIE!
Rumours claiming rock n roll superstar David Bowie has plans to resurrect his most iconic alter ego ‘Ziggy Startdust’ have been denied by the singer. Media reports stated that the 62-year-old would be performing a live set of the entire 1972 album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars’ at this years Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.
In a statement on his website Bowie said. 'I'm sure the majority of you saw this tale for what it was anyway - poppycock… However, we feel duty-bound to deny this particular story, lest members be fleeced of their hard-earned.'
Other rumours claiming he is working on new material in Germany have also been denied by the site and appear to lie with messages originated by the singer on the Twitter micro-blogging site. However in a statement by Twitter they have confirmed 'David Bowie does not have a Twitter account,'
The singer has been semi retired since he suffered a heart problem on his 2004 world tour and was forced to cut it short. He recently attended a screening of his son’s debut movie at the Sundance Film Festival where he told reporters: 'I'm so happy for him and proud as punch.' The movie ‘Moon’, directed by Duncan Jones (formerly Zowie Bowie) stars Sam Rockwell as a moon based astronaut losing his mind. I wonder where he got the idea?
