WORLD’S TALLEST MAN VISITS UK
As part of their campaign to launch the 2010 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records the new holder of the title of the World’s Tallest Man has paid a visit to London. Clocking in at 8ft 1in, Sultan Kosen, also holds the records for the biggest hands 10.8inches and biggest feet 14.3inches. The 27 year old Turk who suffers from a condition known as pituitary gigantism was wearing a specially made suit which was the first set of clothing he has ever owned that actually fits him. He said that he hoped his new found fame would bring him love.
'The first thing I want to do is have a car that I can fit in, but more than that I want to get married... Up until now it's been really difficult to find a girlfriend. I've never had one, they were usually scared of me. I'm hoping now I will find one... Hopefully now that I'm famous I'll be able to meet lots of girls. I'd like to get married.'
Mr Kosen grew normally to the age of 10 years, when a tumour caused him to develop his medical condition. A spokesman for Guinness World records said “Mr Kosen is the first person in more than a decade we have recognised as being more that eight feet in height.”
