WINDERMERE BOAT PARADE

This year’s Windermere Boat Parade is scheduled for Saturday 6th August and registration is well underway. As always all shapes and sizes of boats are eligible the rest is up to your imagination! The categories are – Most Topical, Best Dressed Yacht, Best Dressed Cruiser, Small Craft and best in Parade.


After the Parade the barbecue party and prize- giving will take place at the Lake District Boat Club, Glebe Road, Bowness on Windermere, open to all participants. There will be entertainment and a raffle with excellent prizes.


The parade meeting is at 6pm at the 6mph marker in north lake.

You will need to give the name of your boat and your ‘theme’ so the commentator is able to introduce each boat.

Come on! Boat owners get your boats prettied up and join the parade it is good fun.

Anyone visiting Bowness on WIndermere on weekend of Saturday 6th come and watch the parade along the Glebe we need lots of encouragement.

Yes does sound good fun...Pity your on a lake otherwise I would have sailed down from the Hamble...Hope you have great weather.
