OLYMPICS ON BIG SCREEN
It has been announced that during the 2012 Olympics a big screen will be erected on Weymouth Beach to allow spectators to watch the event from the shore. With huge numbers of additional visitors flocking to the beach because the event this is a massive boost.
Nothe Gardens has been chosen as one of the official Olympic Spectator venue for watching the event and will be ticket-only access. Weymouth and Portland councils have been allocated £1.5 to deliver additional services and facilities for the games which is expected to draw around 50,000 visitors between 27th July and 12th August next year.
