WESTERN AUSTRALIA HAS A NEW HERO

Motorists in Perth, Australia have a new hero known only as 'Wheel Clamp Man'. Dressed in a green lycra suit, black Speedo trunks and multi-coloured socks he has vowed to play havoc with the scourge of unfair wheel clamping in the city.

After being clamped himself the anonymous man went into a rage and metamorphosed into his alter ego who helps out unsuspecting wheel clamp victims armed only with his trusty angle grinder.

During a clandestine meeting the Australian super hero told the press, 'I went to a car park, pulled in, couldn't see any signs, and I must have walked less than 100 yards and I was clamped,' he told a local newspaper. 'It was a con because they were watching... I'm helping people out.. I don't feel I'm damaging property... The amount of money these companies make off innocent people is insane. Where does that money go? Not into car parks or safer streets. It goes into their pocket.'

The New Age Automotive Vigilante says he was inspired by Britain's own 'Angle Grinder Man' who donned in a blue leotard whilst cutting off clamps in London and Kent nearly ten years ago. All he asks in return for his endeavors is a small donation which he gives to the homeless. Which at £90 a pop for legitimate release is a fair shout.

In response a Western Australia police spokesman told the press, 'He is committing the offence of criminal damage. We will deal with him.'
