TOILET MAINTENANCE ON BOATS – TOP TIP
When cleaning the head do not use bleach as it will rot the diaphragm in the pump. Use two teaspoons of washing up liquid and a teaspoon of baking soda. Leave it for half an hour and pump it through.
If you are leaving the boat for a while pour a bucket of very soapy water down the head. This will keep it clean and avoid odours or seizing of the pump.
