THE MAGICIAN AND THE PARROT – JOKE OF THE WEEK
This magician was working a cruise ship in the Caribbean. He had a different audience each week so he could do the same tricks at every show. There was only one snag the captain’s parrot used to watch the show each week and eventually sussed out how the magician did every trick. Once he’d done this he started shouting out in the middle of the show.
“It’s not the same hat!”
“He’s hiding the flowers under the table!”
“All the cards are the Ace of Spades!”
The magician was furious, as the audience would start to laugh at him, but had to put up with it. After all it was the Captain’s parrot.
One day the ship ran into trouble and sank. The magician found himself adrift in the middle of the ocean on an upturned lifeboat with the parrot. Although they hated each other it was the only company they had. They didn’t speak at all for three days then, on day four, the parrot relnted and said. “OK I give up. What did you do with the ship?”
