The Harbourguides Crew’s annual “Big Sail” sets off from Barcelona to Mallorca on Saturday the 25th July. Along with Steve Mallinson aboard the Harbourguides yacht “Knight Song” the other confirmed participants are Andrea Lenehan and Chris Talbot on yacht “Dolphin” Freddy, Ben and Adam Chadwick aboard “Elysian”, Shaun Beverley and his crew aboard yacht “Nakita” and ( Awaiting Boat name and Crew).
Frank Mc from “Barcelona Sea Academy”, Nigel Jackson who is the racing sailor, Karen Hallmark, adding some more glamor, and Matty Chadwick, who doesn’t do a lot, are also confirmed crew members and will help out on any of the boats.
The flotilla sets sail in the early hours of Saturday and is scheduled to arrive in Pollensa, North East Mallorca around 9pm where the boats will stay at anchor for the night. They plan to have a well-deserved beer (or three) and BBQ. They will visit different anchorages and marinas in Mallorca over the next 4 or 5 days and then head over to Menorca.
Although the trip will certainly be fun, the Harbourguides crew will be working, compiling information on all the places visited, to put in our Guides for visiting yachtsmen.
