TARANTINO PREMIER CANCELLED

The premier of Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie, ‘Diango Unchained’ was postponed because to last week’s shootings in a Sandy Hook School in Connecticut. The event has been replaced by a low key screening for cast, crew and their families.

The decision echoes the scaled down ‘no red carpet’ screening of Tom Cruise’s new movie ‘Jack Reacher in Pittsburgh’ which opens with a scene where a sniper shoots and kills several people. Billy Crystal’s latest comedy ‘Parental Guidance’ also had its premier cancelled as were episodes of US TV shows ‘Family Guy’, ‘American Dad’ and ‘The Cleveland Show.’

In response, Tarantino has defended violence in movies saying, 'I just think you know there's violence in the world, tragedies happen, blame the playmakers... It's a western. Give me a break.'
