Spindrift 2, a 40 metre trimaran is heading for the Doldrums on its circumnavigation voyage as contestant for the Jules Verne Trophy which awards a prize to the fastest contestant. The vessel is currently being propelled along by the 15-20 knot trade winds and will sail 6,000 km to the Azores high.
