STOLEN OSTRICH RUNS HOME

STOLEN OSTRICH MAKES A RUN FOR IT ALL THE WAY HOME
When Romanian farmer Florin Diaconescu had his ostrich stolen by rustlers he thought it would be the last he saw of it. Ostriches are certainly not known for having a sense of direction. But the giant African bird proved him wrong and somehow managed to make it home.
When the ostrich managed to escape the rustlers it made a run for at an impressive 40mph all the way back to Mr Diaconescuís farm in Pitesti.
The very relieved 47 year old farmer said, 'I had given her up as gone forever... But I saw this cloud of dust heading towards the farm and she came running into the yard as fast as her legs would carry her.'
Maybe she should be bread to create a new sport, racing homing-ostriches.
