STAR WARS CHOKE VICTIM DIES AGED 66

The actor who was murdered in a legendary scene from the movie classic Star Wars has died. Richard LeParmentier who played Admiral Motti, the commander of the Death Star, was famously choked to death by uber-villain Darth Vader in the 1977 sci-fi movie classic.

During his career, LeParmentier appeared in over 50 movie and TV programmes including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Shine on Harvey Moon, Capital City, Octopussy, Reilly Ace of Spies and Rollerball. He also worked as a screenwriter for British TV, most famously on The Bill, Boon and Love Hurts.

The Pttsburgh US native moved to the UK in 1974. According to reports the circumstances surrounding the 66 year-olds death are not yet clear.
In a message from his children, Rhiannon, Stephanie and Tyrone LeParmentier, he was described as 'a warm, genuine person with an unparalleled joie de vivre'.

Obviously the 'force' wasn't with me as much as I thought back in 1977.
