SMUGGLER CAUGHT WITH TWO DOZEN REPTILES
Norwegian customs officers were astonished when they caught a man attempting to smuggle 24 reptiles. Following a routine check the officers discovered a tarantula in the 22 year-old manís bag. They then decided to give him a full body search and were shocked to find 10 albino leopard geckos and 14 royal pythons taped to his body.
Kristiansand customs manager Helge Breilid said, 'Customs officers quickly realised the man was smuggling animals, because his whole body was in constant motion,'
The Norwegian man had 14 stockings taped to his upper body each containing a snake and ten cans strapped to his legs each containing a gecko. The reptiles are now with a security firm whilst Norwegian authorities decide what to do with them.
