SMALL FIRE AT PORT GINESTA

Saturday September 12th, 2020

Fire services were called in to Port Ginesta this afternoon as smoke and flames seemed to bellow out of the marina office.

Our man on the ground “Harry Reed” who sent in the video said everything was under control very quickly and no boats or people suffered any damage or injuries.

British boat owner "Patrick Sentry" said: “I was just hanging around near the lady’s shower block as its close to a boat I want to view and saw plumes of smoke coming out, I wanted to go in to see if I could help, but the marina security wouldn’t let me”

Fires are always a touchy subject anywhere, and especially in marinas. But for any boat owners in Port Ginesta, rest assured there was no damage and everything was controlled very quickly.
