SITGES VISITOR GUIDE

Sunday July 7th, 2013
ImageOur main man in the field Paul Smith has just returned from Sitges, near Barcelona, where he has done a fabulous job of starting to compile a harbour guide for the area. This guide will grow and grow in the near future. However on returning England he barely had time to re-pack his bags, as he set off to compile the Brighton harbour/visitor guide.
Paul said:'When Harbourguides asked me to start the Sitges guide, I honestly didn't know anything about the area, but after spending a few weeks there I really enjoyed the atmosphere and culture of the place. I wasnt aware that there was going to be a gay pride week going on during my stay, but it really enhanced the party spirit that is so abundant in Sitges. For those who dont know, Sitges is an extremely gay friendly resort and although I am 100% heterosexual, I still enjoyed the whole ambience of this fabulous location.'
So is Paul looking forward to going back in the near future to add more to the harbour guide:
'Yes, definitely, I would recommend the marina to anyone that is thinking of sailing there, but also any kind of visitor, weather it be by boat, train, bus or bike, take time out to pay a visit, I very much doubt you will be disappointed, l certainly wasn't.'
