Richmond no more Mooring

Wednesday March 18th, 2015
Unauthorised mooring in Richmond is to be brought to an end under new bylaws proposed by the local council. The new byelaws will come into effect from 13 March 2015. For every 24 hours that a boat is tied up to council owned land a criminal offence will have been committed which could lead to a fine or imprisonment.

Councillor Pamela Fleming was said to be delighted that an end would be brought to unauthorised boats mooring along “this beautiful stretch of the Thames.”
