Local police forces from all over the UK are allowing Father Christmas to break Covid lockdown rules from 7.00pm Thursday 24th December until 09.00am Friday 25th (Christmas Day).

The report also stated that he could break bubble restrictions and take all reindeers and Elves with him to make sure he can deliver everyone’s Christmas presents on time.

Santa sent a message to the Prime Minister and the Police forces thanking them for making this exception and showed proof of negative Covid tests for himself and his Elves.

He said:

“There’s no COVID-19 in our Grotto, I test myself and the Elves every other day, anyway, we are in isolation 364 days of the year and only go out on Christmas Eve”.

“The rest of the year the elves are busy making presents and I reply to letters from children and their parents but thank you to the Police and Boris for allowing it. But this really is an exception and I urge everyone to stick to the rules and guidelines”

He also asked for a favour from the children. “Please can I ask all children not to stay up too late on Christmas Eve this year, I cannot deliver their presents if they are awake or looking, so for this year an early night please. Oh, and by the way, myself and the Elves love Mince pies, so if you have one or two spares leave them in the room and if possible, a carrot for the reindeers, they are going to working very hard.

Thanks, and have a wonderful Christmas everyone and stay safe!

Santa
