BRIT GIRL WINS PARALYMPIC FIRST GB SAILING MEDAL

Britain's sailing team are guaranteed at least two medasl for the first time ever in the London 2012 Paralympics.

Team GB’ s Helena Lucas has a nine point advantage over Germany’s Heiko Kroger which ensures a Silver at Thursday’s final race.

Meanwhile Alexandra Rickham and Niki Birrell have taken third in the SKUD class and are guaranteed Bronze.

Sailing was first introduced to the Paralymics in 2000 and this will be the first time Britain has won medals in the events. There is also a chance of a third Bronze for Sonar crew John Robertson, Hannah Stodel and Steve Thomas who are one point behind Germany .
