NEW MARINA FOR PLYMOUTH

Construction is now underway on a brand new marina set to become the centre-piece of Plymouth's Millbay area. The, 171 berth, King Point Marina is expected to be fully operational by early August.

The marina will accommodate boats between five to 25 meters and include a two-storey shore-side building. The lower floor with house showers, toilets and have a terrace whilst the upper floor has been designed to house a yacht club or restaurant that offers views over Plymouth Sound.

Jason Schofield, chief executive of developers Sutton Harbour Holdings, told the press, 'I am delighted to see work beginning on site for what will be an exciting project that will benefit the whole of the Plymouth. .. King Point Marina will... enable more boat owners to experience the excellent sailing waters we have here in the South West, and reinforce Plymouth's position as one of the UK's leading marine destinations.'
