A fire broke out on a passenger ferry near Cutty Sark gardens and was battled by fire engines from Greenwich, East Greenwich and Lewisham fire stations as well as the London fire boat. The fire was brought under control by 20 firefighters.
In 2007, fire broke out on Cutty Sark herself, resulting in a restoration project costing £35 million.
