Time to set sail for 2022!
Well, here we are again. Another Christmas approaches and another year starts to slowly slip over the horizon. How time flies...or should that be ‘sails by’?
2020 and 2021 have been two of the most difficult years any of us can remember. Lockdowns and travel restrictions have proven to be tough to navigate for many businesses but we have been impressed to see so many of our advertisers taking on the challenges head on – and as a result, that means many of you have had a fantastic season. In fact, many of our UK sites have seen bumper business over the course of this year as people choose to stay relatively local. This is echoed by the Harbourguide website stats, with some big numbers for almost all the UK harbours and businesses.
Given what is happening in the world at the moment – with another wave hitting hard – this trend to stay local could carry over into 2022, so we certainly encourage you to ensure your listings are up to date and ready for when things calm down again.
In short, despite the stormy waters that the pandemic keeps sending, it looks like you are all doing incredibly well and this bodes well for the new year. Well done!
