MEGA YACHT REFUSED MOORING

The largest private yacht in the world has been refused mooring at Antibes. Apparently there was just no room for Russian business mogul Roman Abramovitch's ‘Eclipse’. Despite being Europe’s biggest yachting harbour there is only one of the 2000 moorings large enough to accommodate the 536ft vessel and that had already been taken by the 265ft ‘Kingdom’ owned by a Saudi prince.

The billion dollar mega yacht, the biggest of the Chelsea football club owner’s fleet has two helicopter pads, two swimming pools, anti paparazzi lasers, a missile defence system and a crew of 70. Poor Mr Abramovitch had to drop anchor out to sea a few hundred yards from his beachfront villa.
