Sunday June 10th, 2012

Manny Pacquiao defeat.
Manny Pacquiao (Pacman) was beaten by Timothy Bradley in the early hours of the morning in a controversial split decision.
There wasn’t much between the two fighters but the majority of people there thought that the “Pacman” had done enough to win the decision.
Bob Arum who handles both Pacquiao and Bradley said: 'I've never been as ashamed of the sport of boxing as I am tonight, I'll make a lot of money off the rematch, but this was outrageous.'
The Pacmans loss could put an end to the much awaited clash with Floyd Mayweather Jnr, a fight all of boxing has wanted to see for some time.
Manny Pacquiao thought he had done more than enough to win but showed what a great champion he has been when he said: 'I accept what the result is. I respect the judges, I cannot blame them. It is a part of the game. I do my best but my best wasn't good enough.'
Two of the judges scored it 115-113 to Bradley and the other 115-113 to Pacquiao.
The victorious Bradley said after the fight: 'It was a good, competitive fight. Every round was pretty close. Pacquiao won some of the early rounds. I controlled the later rounds with my jab. I need to go home and review the tape”
A rematch is now likely to happen.
