LUXURY YACHT SEX TRADERS SENTENCED

A Turkish luxury superyacht belonging to the government has been used as brothel. Four men have been found guilty of organising prostitution aboard the 124m MV Savarona, which was chartered out to private firms.

The gang were busted in September 2009 and were accused of 'facilitating' and 'encouraging' prostitution. The guilty parties were given suspended sentences of 20 months in prison for ‘good behaviour’.

Six other men were acquitted. One of them Kazakh businessman Tevfik Arif had been charged with banrolling a sex party aboard the 18 suite luxury vessel. The yacht is to be turned into a permanent historical museum.
