LITTLE BRITAIN STAR TO SWIM THAMES

Little Britain star David Walliams is back in the water. The cross channel celebrity has embarked on a mission to swim the length of the Thames from Cloucester to Big Ben.

Hundreds of fans were there to see him off on his eight day trial. Walliams is swimming the 140-mile long river to raise money for Comic Relief.

Walliams told the press, 'When I got here last night there were about 30 swans and I have been attacked by swans in the training, so I am actually quite nervous about them. When they're coming towards you fluffing their wings and hissing when you're in the water, it's quite scary.'
