KOREAN WORLD CUP BAN

Thursday November 26th, 2009
What an uproar! North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-il has outdone himself with his latest crackpot initiative. Despite the fact that Korea hasnít qualified for the World Cup since 1966 he has imposed strict controls on the broadcast of any matches they play and banned state-run TV from broadcasting any live matches whatsoever.

Only highlights of his beloved 350 to 1 outsiders will be allowed. All games by other teams are completely outlawed. But it gets crazier. The lover of all things musical and breeder of giant rabbits has also decided that, during the screenings of any of the few permitted games, stadium adverts and opposition fans must be blurred out and, in the unlikely event that North Korea win, the highlights must be edited to make them look a far superior side.

On his head? Or off his head? You decide.
