ImageDAY OUT AT KESWICK ADVENTURE CENTRE

Harbour Guides crew member Steve Mallinson would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Keswick Adventure Centre, where he recently went Ghyll scrambling with HG mascot Chloe Fisher.

Ghyll scrambling has many names, Gill scrambling, Gorge Scrambling and Canyoning. Despite the term 'Scrambling' usually meaning to 'go up' this term means up or down in Ghyll Scrambling - Down being the biggest adrenaline rush....

As far as outdoor pursuits go this is a real buzz and guide for the day, Shaun, made sure the adrenalin was ramped up to 10.

Steve said, ‘Chloe did all the jumps except “The washing Machine” which is but she did do the highest jump and all the rest. I did all the jumps - including the washing machine - and did the high one three times it was that good. Although it’s an adrenalin ride our guide Shaun made us feel safe and he tried all the jumps and slide down rocks first to make sure they were safe.”

So did Chloe have a good time? “It was amazing. I would definitely recommend the trip to other families that want to do something different than sitting watching telly.”

I’d say that was a yes!
