Jack Russel Becomes Major Clue in Crime Investigation
When a burglar in Gateshead decided to flee the scene of the crime he was commiting he forgot to take his accomplice along. Police, who had been alerted by a buglar alarm to the break-in arrived at the infants school to find the building empty except for a Jack Russell Terrier.
The dog, who has been named Bobby, is now being looked after by Northumbrian Police and Inspector Peter Storey had this to say about the reluctant canine intruder, 'We are hoping that somebody might recognise the dog and help us to identify its owner.'
