HSBC are planning between 7,000 to 8,ooo job cuts in UK alone, and as many as 25,ooo across the globe. The cuts are expected to be complete by the end of 1017. The bank are now focussing more on the Asian markets, as the growth in these areas are growing faster than anywhere else
