HELP EX SERVICEMEN TO GET JUSTICE
Friday April 15th, 2011
A very good friend of mine was in the RAF until 4 June 1974 after 14 years. (only 12 of which would have counted as time served, starting from when he was 18) had he stayed in for another year or been 1 year younger he would be getting pension for the 12 years service. This is because the rules changed on 5th April 1975 allowing for a pension to be paid for less than 22 years service. This seems a very unfair way to treat people who have served our country and risked their lives to keep us safe.
The Armed Forces Pension Group have started an on line petition at: www.gopetition.com/petition/43952.html They would very much like you to go on line and sign the petition, it would be even better if anyone else in your household or any of your friends could also go on line and sign the petition as well, thank you.
I have supported this cause for several years. I hope as many of you as possible will do the same.
