A Police investigation has been launched after a fisherman found a headless body on a beach in Blackpool. They were called on Sunday morning, Michael Cartwright who discovered the body said:
“It was like a torso. I am not sure if it was male or female. It was next to the sea wall. I spotted it and asked a young lady to call the police.A dog walker also helped. We did not want any children going past to see it, or for any dogs to go near the body.”
The area where the body was found is called Queens Promenade near Bispham, and Derek Lowde who was also fishing there said it was about an hour before the body was removed.
Mike Charlton from Lancashire Police confirmed that they had found a body on the beach and that they were still investigating.
