HARKEN RADIAL WINCHES

Harken’s new Radial Winch design claims to be the biggest development of its kind for a generation. Utilising the creativity of Harken Italy with the advanced technology and materials of their US division they have produced a device that is half the weight of conventional winches the same size and increased its load bearing capacity.

The new wide diagonal grooves on the drum work like a screw preventing the rope from riding up and therefore reducing wear and tear. The device can easily be converted to power without and adapter plate, no new bolt holes needed and only a single drive shaft.

It sounds too good to be true... But Harken are standing by their reputation and the new winch is already on the market at £356, which depending on your point of view regarding elbow grease and maintenance could be a bargain.
