FOXY AND THE YACHT GUERNSEY

ImageA BIG THANK YOU

As we have reported previously our trip to Guernsey is proving very enjoyable. The hospitality has been matchless. But Harbour Guides wants to offer special thanks to a certain individual, his name is ‘Foxy’. A true local character and a great host. He treated a couple of our crew-members to a fantastic boat trip to the lovely Herm Island.

A long time member of the excellent Guernsey Yacht Club and a regular at the legendary Yacht Inn, Foxy has kept Paul and Steve more than entertained and taught them much about the culture and history of the States. The boat trip really was the icing on the cake.

Also a special thank you to all at the Yacht Inn, who have been hospitable to a fault. We cannot recommend this hotel, pub and restaurant enough. The owners and staff have allowed the Harbourguides crew to use their premises as a virtual office and base from which to explore Guernsey. They have been forthcoming and helpful and served excellent beer and food. It has been like a home from home. Our paths are destined to cross again sometime.
