FILM MAKERS MISTAKEN FOR ROBBERS

Friday March 20th, 2015
A member of the public called the police when he saw a man waving a gun and wearing a balaclava in a restaurant in Portstewart Northern Ireland.

The police armed response unit arrived and wrestled the man to the ground, then realised that they had in fact interrupted a movie scene being made by students from the Ulster University Studios.

Luckily when the students saw the armed response unit arrive, they immediately dropped the fake gun, and held their hands up, realizing the seriousness of the situation, this quick thinking almost certainly avoided what could have been a far more sinister ending to the film.
