FIFA ARRESTS AT HOTEL

Police officers have arrested Six Fifa officials at a Zurich hotel as a result of a corruption investigation into the organisation. One of the arrested is Vice president Jeffrey Webb, and the charges are said to include, money laundering, racketeering and wire fraud.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter was not one of the six arrested in Zurich where the organisation was gathering for their annual meeting on Friday. It is said that plain clothed police entered the Baur au Lac hotel and took keys from the reception then proceeded to enter the rooms and arrest the officials. There was no apparent struggle during the arrests.
